Alyssa D’Angelo, Owner + Chef

Chef Alyssa D’Angelo was born into a big Italian-American family and raised in New York City. Her passion for food started at home, and she quickly learned the importance of gathering around a table and enjoying a good meal together. Cooking alongside her parents and grandparents in the kitchen, Alyssa started building her culinary skills at a young age – learning to recognize good flavor combinations, develop her knife skills, and master decades-old family recipes.

After college, Alyssa began her formal culinary training at the prestigious French Culinary Institute of Manhattan. Her training at FCI took her on a life-changing journey to Italy, where many of her experiences were spent at dinner tables instead of in kitchens. She ate, drank, and talked for hours with strangers who became friends – discovering the joy that food can bring people and how it can connect strangers, bridge continents, and create lasting memories.

It was these real-life experiences that truly taught Alyssa how to cook. After graduating from FCI, she put her education to use and began working in prominent NYC restaurants. She learned valuable training “on the line” that she applies to her cooking today: discipline, teamwork, sourcing quality local ingredients, and not overcomplicating dishes.

Prior to becoming a personal chef, Alyssa had the pleasure of working alongside some of New York’s most notable chefs, including Danny Meyer (Shake Shack, Gramercy Tavern, Maialino, The Modern) and Michael White (Marea, Ai Fiori, Osteria Morini). Working in some of NYC’s most prominent restaurants (Maialino, Ai Fiori) helped Alyssa hone her skills and prepare to become a personal chef and caterer.

Alyssa brings her years of training, her world travels, and her love of good food to every project. She cherishes the relationships she has cultivated with vendors and farmers at the markets. She takes pride in working one-on-one with her clients to create a personal, memorable, and delicious experience for them. Mangia! Let’s eat!

We apply the same standard of excellence to each individual client or family that we cook for, no matter what their needs.

Our second top priority after our clients is our employees. We aim to provide our chefs with a better work-life balance than restaurant life can offer. The varied services that we provide give our chefs unique ways to showcase their skills, get creative, and tailor menus to client preferences.
